Area Sales Manager - Ophthalmology - Yorkshire & East Mids

Area Sales Manager job covering Yorkshire & East Midlands.  Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager for one of Europe’s leading independent ophthalmic company’s, who’ve developed a large and complete pharmaceutical portfolio.  This position will cover Yorkshire & East Midlands, including the following postcode areas: BD, DE, LS, NG, S, WF, HX & HD.

Our client is seeking a driven and strategic professional to identify growth opportunities, maintain and expand business within their designated territory, and develop a deep understanding of market trends.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing our client’s glaucoma pharmaceutical portfolio, actively promoting, selling, and educating key stakeholders on its benefits. You will build strong customer relationships, positioning our client as a leading player in the Glaucoma and Dry Eye markets.

Area Sales Manager – Role

• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in both the NHS and private sector
• To have a full understanding of the Customer, their needs and their environment in each Key Account
• To create a clear and effective stakeholder map per account, including decision makers, influencers and access generators
• Develop a business plan for the area to manage all aspects of the business
• To continually assess self, including in call effectiveness skills and take appropriate action to enhance performance
• Maintain a high standard of knowledge on products and the competition
• Personally manage identified Key accounts in the territory to maximise growth of products in existing Accounts and win new business for new accounts.
• In collaboration with Sales Management and Marketing, identify and agree Key Accounts

Area Sales Manager – Requirements

• ABPI qualified
• Secondary care / NHS sales experience
• Passion to work within Ophthalmology

Area Sales Manager – Salary

• Base salary up to £60,000
• Bonus scheme up to 15-20% of salary
• Company car/Car allowance
